Day +7

Good morning! Psalm 19:14 is Becky's choice of Scripture for today which says, "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer". After posting the blog last night the nurse came in and said she had to hold off on giving the Neupogen shot (new cell growth factor) because her counts had not dropped completely. When the doctor came in about 9:30 and we asked about why they weren't dropping, he said she had a different kind of transplant and they would drop in the next few days and not to worry about anything.

So, Becky said to ask that you pray her counts drop today so they can begin to start the growth factor shots to build her back up again. With them not dropping it delays the healing process so we need them to drop out. Her white count and ANC actually went back up from Tuesday to Wednesday which shouldn't happen.

We did rest last night but the machine was a little more pesky and kept going off more. All in all it was a good night. We are going to a class on discharge planning this afternoon just to see what we need to get prepared for the next step.

May you all have a Godly day.

  1. Just another reason this blog is so helpful - I am pretty sure I wouldn't have thought to pray that counts would go down, but I am going to do that RIGHT NOW. Have a blessed day.
