Thanks so much for all your prayers. The new port is working great and they have 3 lumens (the port has 3 places that IV's can be administered) with drugs running into all of them. We all rejoiced when the nurse got a great blood return!! Becky ate some banana pudding for supper and a couple of bites of chicken stir fry but it was way too salty. She has had more Benadryl so she should be asleep soon but is trying to stay awake to watch the All Star Game on TV. She would love to be there in person since it's here in St. Louis but -----.
They have put her on 2 antibiotics IV because of the fever and having to have the port changed. The nurse wasn't sure how long she would have to have them but it's twice a day for awhile anyway. Everything is still on schedule for the transplant on Thursday.
Our Daddy and his wife are coming tomorrow for a couple days and we're excited to see them. Jessica is also coming up again. Hopefully she'll feel better and tomorrow will go better than today. Her nurse said before she got off this evening that "Tomorrow will be a better day!"
Through it all Becky remains kind to all that are helping her and keeps reminding me to be patient.
We'll write again tomorrow evening at least.
