Day +10 Evening

Today we enjoyed listening to our brother Richard's sermon for our worship time and then we had communion with BJ and Larania. Larania took Barb out to St. Louis Bread Company for lunch and we brought Becky back some Broccoli cheddar soup which she enjoyed. Larania also brought some fresh tomatoes from her mother's in Arkansas and Becky is really enjoying them. Thanks Larania.

Dr. DiPersio came in this afternoon and when he heard Becky was having severe back pain and leg pain he said, "That's good. That means there's some action going on in there". She has had a couple Tylenol today but can't have too many of those because the Graft Versus Host Disease affects the liver and they don't want the Tylenol which can also affect the liver. The other medicine for pain makes her "feel funny" so she doesn't want it but may have to take some tonight. She has to take the good with the bad.

We had pizza again for supper and she also had a banana milkshake. Quite a combination but if that's what she wants that's what she gets.

She has walked 3 laps even though she hasn't felt like it. They keep telling her it's important to walk every day if at all possible. She also did her exercises from PT.

She's looking forward to her 3 daughters being here tomorrow. We're praying for another restful night.

More tomorrow.

  1. Hi Becky & Barb,
It was great to see you both today. Becky you looked so awesome in your new outfit today. It is wonderful to see that radiant smile of yours even though you were having so much pain from your back. You are truly a miracle in action from our Lord. You keep staying the course and it won't be long before you improve enough and get to leave the hospital for your new digs. Keep eating whatever you can and want and more power to the banana milkshake...whatever works!
Keep the faith good girl and I'll check on you soon. Hope you have a good night's rest.

    Love ya,
    B.J.
